In the last few years, I visited many Modern Art museums across Europe. One in particular, where a magnificent painting occupied an ample space in the Museum, attracted my attention. The picture was on a white canvas and on it there was nothing, not even a color or a sketch, nothing at all, only the signature of the artist.

A few months ago, I was in Copenhagen, where I visited the Modern Art Museum and for the nth time I encountered this imposing white empty painting.

This time I needed to understand, I needed to know how I couldn’t admire this piece of art.

Our first stop in Copenhagen was the national Opera House of Denmark. It is the most modern and the most expensive opera house in the world. I was in profound admiration of this gigantic glass sculpture with the longest cantilever I have ever seen.

I looked around me and noticed that we were the only ones contemplating at this unique opera house.

Our second stop was the Copenhagen City Hall, built in the mid-1800s. It is the highest building in the city with a fabulous façade.

I looked around me, and I noticed that we were the only ones taking photos of this majestic Hall.

Our third stop was the status of Frederic V on Horseback, representing the King of Denmark. This statue was one of the most notable equestrian monuments of its time.

I looked around, and this time I noticed, only a Japanese couple were taking photos next to this monument.

Our fourth stop was the liberty column. A 20-meter high obelisk constructed in the mid-1700s. With four female figures on top of the columns, it was beautifully crafted.

This time no one was even stopping to look at this historical monument.

Few meters away at the waterside, on top of two small boulders, is a tiny small bronze sculpture of a mermaid.

A massive crowd of people were surrounding this little mermaid, taking a photo for and with it. My friend and my family waited for their turn to take a picture with this little mermaid. So I had to do the same.

What made this Little Mermaid so famous and attractive, and why not all the other monuments and sculptures?

It turned out that this little mermaid got too much attention that it became a symbol, its value increased, and more than 1 million tourists visited this Little Mermaid every year.

In other words, the worth of this statue was according to the value the world has decided to give it. With this new value, everyone respected, honored, and get attracted to it.

Then it must be that what we value and focus on that would affect how the world will be eventually seeing us.  Furthermore, the more we give attention to who we want to be, the more we are re-directing our belief in that direction.

How do you want the world to see you or to value you?

You want your salary to double, start by believing that you are worth it.

You want to be a famous speaker, start bybelieving that fame is your destiny.

You want to establish a business, start believing in your vision.

You want to change your career, start believing in your new skill and talent.

I think you all got it by now; it is the way we genuinely value our self that the rest of the world will present itself to us.

And why this is true.

It is because; people can recognize us only through our behavior, and this behavior is nothing but the reflection of our belief.  There is absolutely no way to change ourattitude if we do not alter our minds of who we are.

It is our belief that produces our thoughts, our perception of these thoughts is our projector, and our life is what is happening on this White empty canvas found in these  Art Museums.

This empty white canvas is nothing but a miraculous new invitation to revisit our thoughts and to see what we want to draw on this Piece of Art to turn it into a Masterpiece.

This Little Mermaid magnetizes millions of people  across the world;

How would you like the world to be attracted to you?
